Sometimes the good Lord leads me to some incredible tidbits of information.
That certainly seemed to be the case this morning as I listened to an old online interview with Laurie Mylroie, author of Study of Revenge: Saddam Hussein's Unfinished War Against America (The paperback version of her book, with updated information concerning the September 11th attacks, was published this week as THE WAR AGAINST AMERICA: Saddam Hussein and the World Trade Center Attacks).
In the interview, which was part of a March 1998 Missler Report, Laurie Mylroie mentions a microbiologist with dual Iraqi-American citizenship who was living in New Jersey that was integrally involved with the '93 World Trade Center bombing. This individual, whose name is 'Waly Samar', worked closely with the Iraqi masterminds who unsuccessfully attempted to destroy the Twin Towers on the second anniversary of Kuwait's liberation from Iraqi occupation. In the interview, Dr. Mylroie pointed out that this New Jersey microbiologist was in a position to unleash bioterror in America and called upon the FBI to arrest him. Nothing was done by the FBI then and, as far as Dr. Mylroie and I know, nothing has been done to apprehend this individual to date.
A little more than four minutes into the interview, Dr. Mylroie states the following:
"You can demonstrate Iraq's behind the thing (the '93 WTC bombing) which I did in an article in the National Interest Winter '95-'96. And furthermore there is associated with the mastermind Ramzi Yousef a microbiologist with dual-citizenship Iraqi-American who lives in New Jersey."
Then, 8 minutes into the interview, she makes the following profound comment:
"If the FBI were ever to wake up I could give them the names of people who could be involved in such an attack (hypothetical future bioterror attack) because they were associated with this terrorist Ramzi Yousef. They could go arrest those people....arrest the microbiologist in New Jersey..."
After I heard this, I emailed Laurie about he comments and received the following response this afternoon:
JP: 8 minutes 10 seconds into the interview, you declare that this microbiologist in NJ should be arrested!
Laurie: Five years ago, he was in NJ. If he's still in the country, he should be.
JP: What's up?! Is this Waly Samar?
Laurie: Yes.
JP: Has the FBI done anything at this point, or should I get louder!
Laurie: It was passed on to the FBI through official USG channels. The thing is that I don't know if he's in the US, because he left the country at one point, and then I could never pick up his trail again.
Later on, Dr. Mylroie emailed me this note:
Laurie: FYI a little more detail. I told this (Waly Samar information) to the Public Affairs Officer at NY FBI in September 1994. The man was concerned (as any sensible person would be) and he was sure to have reported it. But this all was blocked in Washington, where the FBI was accommodating the Clinton administration, which did not want to point a finger at Iraq.
So who is 'Waly Samar' and where is he now?
Well, with regard to who Waly Samar is, I've already posted the relevant material on the internet:
In my recent post concerning the close proximity of Waly Samar's college (Hunter College) to the place of work of the latest victim of inhalation Anthrax in New York City (the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital), Freeper 'Nick Danger' posted the following tidbit of information:
| "I do not know what makes you think someone named 'Samar' has anything to do with this, but you've got my attention. An individual named Samar currently lives in Trenton, NJ. This individual appears to know people with names like Alhaeib and Al-Saadhl." |
I emailed Nick Danger about this and he indicated that he found this out using a "skip tracing service" (the kind of thing bill collectors use to hunt down people who have left town with new furniture they aren't paying for).
Thus, where is Waly Samar, the potential key suspect in the Anthrax mailings?
Well, at last notice he was where he's been since at least 1996: Trenton, New Jersey and the location from which the Anthrax mailings were delivered.
A possible element of the recent Anthrax attacks that have occurred in the U.S. is a biotech firm in Boston, Massachusetts partially owned by the Osama bin Laden's family and the Saudi bin Mahfouz family that has been implicated in funding Osama bin Laden's al Qaeda terror network. This story was uncovered by "Freeper" Betty Jo and myself and then picked up and reported by the Boston Herald:
