The latest victim of pulmonary Anthrax in New York City is a bit of mystery.
As reported by Reuters: "The ill woman in New York works for the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital in Manhattan. (Mayor) Giuliani said the woman does not normally handle mail for her job..."
To contract pulmonary Anthrax, one has to inhale a large amount of, literally thousands, of spores of Anthrax. Thus, given that the latest Anthrax victim does not regularly handle mail and is not associated with the New York offices of NBC and ABC that have received Anthrax mailings, just how was this woman so directly exposed to a source of Anthrax?
One possibility if that she is a victim of Anthrax poisoning because she works within close proximity of the key terrorist behind the Anthrax mailings and was exposed by randomchance. I believe the name, or at least alias, of this terrorist is 'Waly Samar' - at last check a graduate student of microbiology located at Hunter College, less than 1000 feet from the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital in Manhattan.
One of the key players in the World Trade Center bombing in 1993, which occurred on the second anniversary of Kuwait's liberation from Iraqi occupation, is an Iraqi named Abdul Rahman Yasin. Shortly after the World Trade Center bombing, Abdul Yasin was questioned by the FBI and then released (?!!!). Upon his release, Yasin fled the country for Baghdad, Iraq and has never returned. He is now one of the FBI's Most Wanted.
Abdul Yasin's apartment in Jersey City has come to be known as "The Conspirator's Den" where the World Trade Center bombing in 1993 was planned and hatched from. Given the integral role of Abdul Yasin and Yasin's New Jersey apartment in the World Trade Center bombing in 1993, the phone records of this apartment are clearly useful in determining who else may have played an important role in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing that sought to topple the Twin Towers, a diabolical objective that was ultimately achieved by terrorists on September 11th of this year. These phone records point directly at Waly Samar as a key player.
The day of the World Trade Center bombing in 1993, no long distance phone calls were placed from Abdul Rahman Yasin Jersey City apartment since the terrorists were busy bombing the World Trade Center in lower Manhattan. The next day, however, a call was placed to 'Waly Samar' at his dormitory room at Hunter College at the City University of New York (CUNY), and then Waly Samar made a couple of extended phone calls to Baghdad, Iraq, apparently to report the previous day's nefarious activities. Over the next several days, a series of phone calls occurred from Yasin's conspirator's den to Waly Samar and then from Waly Samar's dormitory room at Hunter College to various locations like Iraq, Pakistan and Great Britian as the terror attack against the World Trade Center was reported back to those who ordered its execution.
The New York district attorney's office, upon analyzing the phone records of Yasin's apartment in 1995, many years after the World Trade Center and subsequent to the trial against those convicted in the 1993 bombing, finally investigated Waly Samar. Unfortunately, investigators concluded that nothing could be done about Waly Samar and the case was pronounced to be "frustrating".
Since Waly Samar was not apprehended in 1995, he was apparently left free to pursue future terrorist activities in the U.S. on behalf of Saddam Hussein's Iraq. As a graduate student in microbiology, should it come as any surprise that those future activities would involve domestic bioterrorism in the form of the recent Anthrax mailings?
My own guess is that the FBI dropped the ball on this one BIG TIME!
Why has a worker at a hospital several hundred feet from Hunter College contracted pulmonary Anthrax? How about because the mastermind behind the Anthrax mailings of recent weeks, Waly Samar, operates around this location?
Of course, I don't know if 'Waly Samar' still resides at Hunter College. I hope the FBI knows whether or not this is the case. At the least, I know no with a last name of "Samar" comes up in the student directory for the school. But if Waly Samar does, indeed, still attend Hunter College, then clearly immediate action must be taken to reign this Iraqi terror agent in before a far more catastrophic Anthrax attack occurs in New York City or elsewhere in the country.
A possible element of the recent Anthrax attacks that have occurred in the U.S. is a biotech firm in Boston, Massachusetts partially owned by the Osama bin Laden's family and the Saudi bin Mahfouz family that has been implicated in funding Osama bin Laden's al Qaeda terror network.
