"It is a fact that in the entire Vietnam War we did not lose one major battle.
We lost the war at home and at home John Kerry was the field general."
- Bob Elder, Swift Boat Veteran For Truth

I have placed the audio from the Swift Boat Veterans For Truth news conference online (Windows Media format for dial-up or better connections - right click to download) for anyone who has not yet heard the moving testimonies of those who commanded and/or fought along side John Kerry. (Or click here for the C-Span online video of the press conference.)

American fighting men and women are today risking, and some sacrificing, their lives to bring freedom and democracy to the 50 million people living in Iraq and Afghanistan. Their mission is yet to be completed.

There are some in America today who are undermining the war effort because they have a political agenda to oppose the Bush Administration and any cause for which it stands. Such individuals are apparently more concerned with who wins the upcoming November presidential election than with who wins the War On Terror and the struggle to overthrow and undo the tyranny of Saddam Hussein and the Taliban.

Tragically, amongst the media elite most responsible for shaping American popular opinion, there is a preponderance of those opposed to President Bush and, in association, the war in Iraq.

In the Vietnam War, American forces won every major battle but yet lost the war. Consequently, the people of Vietnam were subjugated and oppressed for many more years than needed to occur. The reason America lost the war in Vietnam is because individuals set against the cause of human freedom, against the military mission of U.S. forces during that burdensome war, were given undo, uncritical attention by a sympathetic mainstream press. The Vietnam War was lost by leftist media elitists more concerned with politics than winning the war at hand.

Now history is repeating itself.

Today news headlines are increasingly filled with the failures of, and atrocities committed by, American forces seeking to free the people of Iraq and Afghanistan. Our troops' successes and valient performances go unreported and are overshadowed by sensationalized reports about battle casualties and abuses by rogue elements in the military that have acted dishonorably for which they will soon pay a heavy price.

On behalf of those fighting for the cause of America and the freedom of others, I believe it is time to declare war against those in the media who are undermining the war effort and buttressing the cause of our enemies. Those more concerned with unseating Bush from power than undoing the tryanny of Saddam Hussein are putting American lives at risk. Every time exagerrated and biased reporting occurs that serves the cause of our foes, U.S. soldiers die at the hands of fellow Americans who need a serious wake-up call about where their allegience needs to be.

It is time to take a stand against those who undermine the American cause for freedom in the world.

It is time to take a stand against the biased media elite who have act contrary to the interests and efforts of American soldiers today putting their lives on the line in Iraq and Afghanistan.

If these soldiers are willing to risk their lives overseas on behalf of America and human liberty, then the least we could do at home is exercise our constitutional freedom and right to publicly protest against the leftist media elite undermining the war effort and increasing the risks faced by U.S. forces.

On Friday of last week, ABC News aired a "tribute" for American fighting men and women in which the names of "The Fallen" in the War in Iraq were read aloud by Ted Koppel as their photos were displayed.

This episode of Nightline occurred in the context of "May Sweeps" and served to boost the Nielson ratings for Ted Koppel's news program. The idea that ABC News meant to memorialize America's fallen is unfortunately suspect.

If, indeed, ABC News and Ted Koppel's Nightline program is concerned about the best interests of America and those fighting the War On Terror, then those 'running the show' can not ignore the Swift Boat Veterans For Truth who operated along side John Kerry in Vietnam and who believe the Democratic presidential nominee is unfit to be Commander In Chief of America's armed forces. If ABC News is willing to provide the American people an unbiased perspective, then balanced reporting demands Ted Koppel and company assail Senator Kerry for his record during the Vietnam War and question his fitness to be Commander In Chief lest American lives be placed in peril.

9/11 MURAL FOUND IN IRAQ ON APRIL 9, 2003

"In this man's heart (Osama bin Laden) you'll find an insistence,
a strange determination that he will reach one day the tunnels of the White House
and will bomb it with everything that is in it.....with the seriousness of the Bedouin
of the desert about the way he will try to bomb the Pentagon after he destroys the White House.
...the revolutionary bin Laden is insisting very convincingly that he will strike America on the arm that is already hurting.
That the man....will curse the memory of Frank Sinatra every time he hears his songs."
(A reference to Sinatra's "New York, New York"?)

(Also noted in the Wall Street Journal, "Saddam and the Next 9/11", 2/14/03)

"At this stage it is possible to turn to biological attack, where a small can,
not bigger than the size of the hand, can be used to release viruses that affect everything....
The viruses easily spread by air, and people are affected without feeling it."

- Uday Hussein, 9/20/01 (NOTE: The first Anthrax-laced letters were mailed on 9/18/01)
(That means Hussein's son wrote this before any news had come out about the Anthrax mailings in the U.S.)

"From inside America, how five planes flew.
Such a mishap never happened in the past!
And nothing similar will happen.
Six thousand infidels died.
Bin Ladin did not do it;
the luck of the president [Saddam] did it."

(Text of poem recited in the presence of President Saddam Hussein by
Shaykh Ali Bin Shallal, head of the al-Sharji tribes, at a meeting with
tribal chieftains from Basra and Maysan Governates on 12/3/01.
Was the 5th plane the crash of AA Flight 587 into Queens, NYC on November 12, 2001?)

"Hear this, O foolish and senseless people, who have eyes, but see not, who have ears, but hear not. Do you not fear me? says the LORD; Do you not tremble before me? I placed the sand as the bound for the sea, a perpetual barrier which it cannot pass; though the waves toss, they cannot prevail, though they roar, they cannot pass over it. But this people has a stubborn and rebellious heart; they have turned aside and gone away. They do not say in their hearts, `Let us fear the LORD our God, who gives the rain in its season, the autumn rain and the spring rain, and keeps for us the weeks appointed for the harvest.' Your iniquities have turned these away, and your sins have kept good from you. For wicked men are found among my people; they lurk like fowlers lying in wait. They set a trap; they catch men. Like a basket full of birds, their houses are full of treachery; therefore they have become great and rich, they have grown fat and sleek. They know no bounds in deeds of wickedness; they judge not with justice the cause of the fatherless, to make it prosper, and they do not defend the rights of the needy. Shall I not punish them for these things? says the LORD, and shall I not avenge myself on a nation such as this?" Jeremiah 5:21-29
